Lyndon John XOn August 1st 2010, after leaving IMOK Entertainment and pursuing his music 100% independently, Lyndon released his sophomore album “Brighter Days” with a self titled debut track that has set airways ablaze from Toronto to Japan, satisfying LJX fans new and old with positive vibes that express hope for the future. LJX’s sound has been compared to Steel Pulse and Bob Marley which are both honorable comparisons but his vocals, skank and overall sound are truly original

Lyndon began studying music at age 5 with the violin and piano, shortly after, he started playing the guitar which he continues to study today. Lyndon was introduced to Calypso and Reggae music through his Grenadian parentage and Reggae seemed to become part of him, as it also carried through while playing in various Jazz and Blues bands. At 16 he recorded his first single ‘All My Lovin’, a beautiful reggae ballad which appears on his debut album and leaves you wanting to hear more from Lyndon John X (LJX).

In 2008 Lyndon was nominated for a JUNO for Reggae Recording of the Year, and as Best Male Newcomer at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards. He was and still is extremely excited and grateful for the recognition. After the immediate success of Two Chord Skankin’, Lyndon toured Europe and performed at the Montreux Jazz Fest, one of the most renowned music festivals worldwide and the Blue Balls Festival in Switzerland, where his music was received to great acclaim. He also enjoyed performing nationally at the Calgary Reggae Festival, Montreal Reggae Festival and Iriefest!

His newly released album, "Brighter Days" is a classic example of new school reggae with an old school approach to roots music. The album promises authentic hard hitting roots reggae musicianship with lyrics that are current, conscious and addictive. Lyndon feels Reggae has and will forever be a revolutionary tool to broadcast injustices and project hope for the future on a global level. He portrays this view clearly throughout the entire album.
